TODAY, RUN FOR 30 MINUTES AT 70% MHR: As we saw yesterday, the resting pulse rate is a major indicator of aerobic fitness and general health. The more fit you are, the lower your resting pulse rate. Some well-trained marathon runners have resting pulse rates in the 30's. This means their hearts are extremely efficient in supplying the needs of their bodies while they are at rest. As you stay on your training program, you can expect to see your own resting pulse rate gradually drop too.
