Day 032 - Hand position on descents

1-hour ride at RPE 6-8, including 3 short hills        Training via ActiveMail

RIDE FOR ONE HOUR AT RPE 6-8 WITH THREE SHORT HILLS: A final descending tip: Have you ever seen pro riders descending at 50 mph with their hands close together on the handlebars, near the stem? Well, don't imitate them! This position is only slightly more aerodynamic, and it's much less stable -- also more dangerous because your hands are farther away from the brakes. Stick to the standard position with your hands on the drops of the bars. Being able to reach your brakes fast is safer both for you and for your riding companions.
