IT'S A REST DAY: It's time to pre-hydrate for your long ride in two days. Make it a point to drink at least eight large glasses of water today. Put a water bottle on your desk at work and nip at it every fifteen minutes. Drink several glasses of water at meals because the sodium in the food you eat will help you retain the water you drink. Finally, cut down on your caffeine -- caffeine is a mild diuretic and makes it harder to retain the fluid you're trying to stock up on.
