Day 012 - Pushups

IT'S A REST DAY: Here's another exercise to add to the resistance-training routine you're doing twice a week on rest days. It's the old reliable pushup. If you've ever had sore triceps (the muscles on the back of your upper arm) from leaning on the handlebars during a long ride, you know why pushups are valuable. Keeping your head up and your back flat, lower your chest until it almost touches the floor. Good form beats numbers -- 10 pushups done correctly are better than 15 done sloppily. If you can't do regular pushups, support your lower body with your knees rather than your toes.
