IT'S A REST DAY: Here's a seated climbing tip: move around on the saddle as you climb. When the grade gets steep, push your hips to the rear of the saddle and concentrate on smooth, round pedal strokes at a moderate rpm. Then slide forward to the tip of the saddle and spin at a faster cadence. Next, shift to the middle of the saddle and pedal normally. Moving around like this and varying your pedal style gives your muscles a break and improves your pedal stroke.
