RIDE 2 HOURS AT RPE 6-8: This is the big ride you've been training for. Congratulations -- you're fit and ready for a ride of 25-35 miles, a great accomplishment. If it's an organized ride, you'll find rest stops along the way with portable restrooms and tables with food and drink offered by smiling volunteers. Stop and socialize with your fellow riders but don't spend too much time standing around. Five minutes should be the maximum time you spend at a rest stop. Longer than that and your legs will get stiff and sore, making it difficult to get going again. On another note, today is also the last day of this training program. Depending on your bicycling goals, you can repeat the last four weeks of this program to maintain your cycling fitness.
