RIDE 90 MINUTES WITH SOME HILLS OR IN A GROUP: Now that your long ride is stretching to 90 minutes, give some thought to keeping well fed and hydrated. You should drink several swallows from your bottle or hydration pack every 15 minutes. Set a wrist watch alarm to remind you if you tend to forget. Also, eat half an energy bar every 30 minutes on the ride. Do this even if you ate a good breakfast several hours before the start. You won't feel hungry at first but if you keep eating, by the end of the ride you'll still have energy to finish strong.
