Day 041 - Cleat positions

45-minute ride at RPE 6        Training via ActiveMail

RIDE 45 MINUTES AT RPE 6: If you've invested in clipless pedals, make sure your cleats (the cleat is what mounts on your shoe sole and clips the shoe into the pedal) are mounted in the right place on your shoe. If they're correct, the ball of your foot should be directly over the pedal axle. If your foot is larger than a man's size 9, move the cleat a bit farther to the rear so more of your foot is in front of the axle. Many riders who do longer distances move their cleats even farther back to reduce pressure on their feet and Achilles tendons.
