RIDE 45 MINUTES AT RPE 6: Have you ever considered commuting to work by bike? It's a great way to incorporate your workout seamlessly into the day. Instead of sitting in a car, you can use the time productively to improve fitness. You'll save money too, in fuel costs, wear and tear on a car, or tickets on the subway. And commuting by bike is often just as fast as driving on traffic-clogged roads. Some studies have shown that for trips of less than five miles in large U.S. cities, bikes ridden at moderate intensities usually beat cars in door-to-door trips.
