Day 056 - Race day: the bike-to-run transition

WEEK 8, Day 5: 15 minute swim. Keep this one very easy and continuous. You'll be racing in just a couple of days! Today's race tip: In the bike-to-run transition, don't unsnap your helmet until you're off your bike--it's a rule. Change into your running shoes (unless you wore them on the bike), grab a visor or sun hat if it's sunny, and go. As you take the first few running steps away from your bike, your legs may feel very tight and it may be hard to take a normal stride. This is very common in this transition. It will probably take about a mile before your muscles adapt to running right after biking.
