Day 055 - Race day: the bike leg

Day 53: Rest Day        Training via ActiveMail

WEEK 8, Day 4: Rest Day. Don't neglect your stretching now. Do a nice relaxing stretch for at least 15 minutes today. Today's race tip: During the bike leg of the triathlon, stay alert for other riders at all times. If you need to pass someone, always try to pass on the left, and say On your left! as you go by so they'll know you're there. Never cross the centerline of the road. Start drinking from your water bottle as soon as you're out of the transition area and it's safe to do so. The bike route should be clearly marked, so there should be no chance of getting lost. As you finish the ride and head back to the transition area, watch out for other cyclists slowing down around you and for runners exiting the corridors between the bike racks.
