Day 039 - Some tips for the run

Day 37: 30-60 minute bike        Training via ActiveMail

WEEK 6, Day 2: 30-60 minute bike. If there are any hills in your area, try tackling some on today's ride. There is no better way to improve your cycling strength than on the hills. When climbing, it often helps to slide back in the saddle to improve your leverage on the pedals. This week we'll talk about the run leg of your triathlon and give you some running tips. After the more technique-driven swim and bike legs, you should look forward to the run as a chance to relax--all you have to do now is put one foot in front of the other! Keep your chin up. Look forward at least 10 feet, preferably toward the horizon. Breathe through your mouth. Keep your jaw and face relaxed.
