WEEK 3, Day 7: Optional workout: 45-60 minutes in the sport that needs the most work. Today's swimming tip: Get a pair of swim goggles--they improve your vision in the water, but much more importantly, they reduce eye irritation from pool chemicals and/or from whatever is in the lake or ocean where you'll do the swim leg of your triathlon. Cheap or poorly-fitting goggles can be irritating--they may fog frequently, leak, or slip off your face. Take the time to find a pair that works for you. Also, even good goggles usually require numerous adjustments until they fit properly, so be prepared to fiddle with them initially!
