Picture yourself doing each drill perfectly: your movements are smooth, balanced, and relaxed. Think about the similarities between the backstroke drills we have been working on this week and the freestyle drills we learned last week--the same balance and rotation are used in both strokes!
Over the course of the week, we built you a new backstroke, starting with the core of the body, the hips and the shoulders, and gradually working toward the whole stroke. We will also take this approach with the two remaining strokes, breaststroke and butterfly-the core of the body will always be the source of our power.
