Day 002 - Get your 10K time

TODAY, RUN A 10K RACE OR A TIME TRIAL: If you can't find an organized 10K race to do today, do a 10K time trial. That is, time how long it takes you to run the 10K distance (6.2 miles) at a realistic pace. The easiest place to do this is on your local high school or college's running track. Most tracks are 1/4 mile around, meaning four laps run in the inside line is equal to 1 mile. A 10K is therefore 24 laps + 3/4 of a 25th lap. Your 10K finishing time will be important in establishing your workout goals for this training schedule.
