FOR TODAY'S WORKOUT, CROSS-TRAIN OR RUN THREE MILES AT AN EASY PACE: Swimming and light upper-body resistance training build strength in the postural muscles. Notice we say LIGHT upper-body resistance. Don't go for building massive chest and back muscles -- the extra mass won't help your running.
