NEW CARDIO IS GOOD CARDIO: 40 MINUTES. Why not try something new today? Most gyms now offer a regular schedule of spinning or Tai-bo classes. Some even offer jumping on a trampoline--an opportunity to rediscover your childhood! If you take a class, make sure to monitor your heart rate carefully, and rest if it starts pumping above your fat-burning zone. Otherwise, warm up, then pick your cardio machine du jour and spend a half hour hitting it hard, changing the pace (and the incline, if possible) until you realize that you are experiencing an endorphin rush. Gradually cooldown for 5 minutes, and treat yourself to a luxurious 10-minute stretch.
