Off the Couch: Beginning Exercise
Day 031 - Month 2
30 minute walk or jog at a level 1 intensity. Level 1 intensity = 60-70% of your max. heart rate, or conversation pace

TODAY, DO A 30 MINUTE WALK OR JOG AT LEVEL 1 INTENSITY. Every 5 minutes, increase your pace for 15 seconds, then slow back down, try to do this with as little increase in your HR as possible, focus on moving efficiently. As your fitness level improves you'll be moving at a faster speed at the same intensity. Make sure you are exercising at the right intensity, don't use your speed as a gauge, as it will change. You should find that the same loop that took 30 minutes a month ago will take less time at a similar HR or level of effort.
