Your on-snow performance will greatly improve when your dryland training is specific to your winter activity. When the season is near, the more sport-specific training sessions should become. If you're an alpine skier or telemark skier, try in-line skating downhill with ski poles and carve slalom and giant slalom turns around cones. If you're a snowboarder, carved turns on a skateboard or surfboard. If you choose to ride a bike, visualize a downhill course and practice speed.
