IT'S A REST DAY: We've been talking a lot about dressing for hot-weather workouts and choosing clothes that don't trap the heat. But in cold weather you DO want to trap the warm air coming off your body and contain it. It's best to dress in layers rather than to wear a heavy sweater or jacket. On really cold days, just use more layers. The outer layer should always be easy to unzip so that you can take it off as your body warms up. And wear a cap -- this will also help keep you from losing valuable body heat.
