Day 017 - Sun protection

WALK FOR 58 MINUTES WITH A DISTANCE GOAL OF THREE MILES: It's very important that your exercise clothing protect you from the sun, not just from heat and humidity. You're better off wearing clothing that covers more of you rather than less, because skin actually absorbs the sun's rays -- it's the ultimate "black shirt". For gals, a mesh singlet over a sports bra will keep you cooler than a sports bra alone; similarly, for guys, a singlet is a better choice than going shirtless. When it's sunny you should also wear sunglasses or a visor. On days that are both sunny and warm, if you choose to wear a hat instead of a visor, wear a mesh runner's hat -- it won't trap heat like a regular baseball cap.
