IT'S A REST DAY: Today let's talk about exercise clothing. First of all, it should be comfortable. Second, it should protect you from the weather. If it's hot and/or humid, you need to avoid excessive dehydration, possible heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. So find clothing that doesn't trap heat or moisture. Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing that is porous enough to let your body breathe. Cotton is acceptable but not ideal; although it absorbs sweat and allows for easy evaporation, other synthetic fabrics actually pull ("wick") the moisture away from your skin more effectively. These fabrics are usually described as "high-tech" or "high-performance", and their labels describe their wicking qualities.
