EIGHT WEEKS AND COUNTING! This program is preparing you to do your next triathlon in eight weeks. This week we're back into Competitive Season Training. Your total workout time this week will be: Age Group: 7.75'; Elite: 8.25'; Pro: 8.75'. TODAY'S WORKOUT: SWIM. Set 1: 50 drill (freestyle), 50 kick, 50 smooth & easy, 50 fast & snappy. Age Group: do this set of 4 50s 3 times; Elite and Pro: do 4 times. Swim at L2 with 10 seconds rest between swims. Set 2: Age Group: 4 x 400 free; Elite: 4 x 450 free; Pro: 4 x 500 free. Swim at L3 to L4. Rest 1' between swims. Descend 1-4: try to get the 4th repeat 30-40 seconds faster than the first. Focus on palms facing backward during the entire stroke.
