Training tip: Spatial awareness skills are often the difference between a good athlete and a GREAT athlete! A routine of strength and cardio is great for strength and stamina, but it's not enough. Many sports and athletic endeavors require power, balance, finesse and kinesthetic awareness, or the perception of how your body's subtle movements affect your technique. Trail bounding, steep hill running, stair climbing, mountain biking, and inline skating are only a few ways to give your muscles and cardiovascular system a good workout, and it requires body positioning, balance, attitude and concentration to match many sports.
