Day 031 - Aerobic and Anaerobic Training

TODAY IS A CARDIO DAY INCLUDING A MIX OF AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC TRAINING.



WU 10 min.

Run for 30 min. RPE 7-7.5; include rolling hills or stairs RPE 8-8.5.

Training Tip: Running and bounding up hills is and excellent exercise that develops leg strength and is great cross training for many sports. On steeper, more rugged terrain, focus on using one leg at a time for power as you climb. With the knee bent, load up the quad and the calf muscle and leap form one side to the other, or if you're on a dirt trail, obstacle to obstacle. The moves should be smooth and efficient. Visualize a spring under the balls of your feet that propels your body uphill. Pump the arms to maintain a steady tempo and repeat a motivational phrase like, "Dig deep."
