Is Cooking Oil Good or bad?
When selecting heart-healthy cooking fats, the rule of thumb is "the softer the better." That is, soft (liquid) vegetable oils and tub margarines have a higher percentage of unsaturated fats compared to harder (solid) fats such as stick margarine and solid vegatable shortenings.
