Onitsuka Tiger by Asics - Gantrai LE (Loden Green/Ecru) - Women's: Introduced in 1977, the Gantrai(tm) was the execution from an idea by Mr. Shigehiro, a famous Japanese mountain climber (and ASICS(tm) shoe advisor of that time). Concerned with the safety of fashion conscious climbers who had started wearing normal trainers, he took the outsole from an ASICS(tm) baseball shoe and married this to the upper of a normal training shoe!; Thanks to his ingenious hybrid, climbers could now be safe and fashionable at the same time.
