Day 001 - Welcome to the world of Danskin

Day 1: Swim 400m, run 1 mile EASY        Training via ActiveMail

Day 1: Swim 400 meters and run 1 mile EASY. Welcome to the first day of your advanced-level training program for the Danskin Series triathlon. This eight-week adventure will prepare you physically and mentally to take on a triathlon. You'll receive a daily training e-mail outlining your workouts. Today is a "cardio" day, which means your focus is cardiovascular (aerobic) activity rather than strength-training. On days like today, where you're doing two sports, you don't need to do them one right after the other unless we specifically say so. You can either do them consecutively or do a morning and evening workout, whichever works best for you. Because flexibility and strength are part of getting you to the race uninjured, we will also focus on this during the course of your training.
