MAKE TODAY A REST DAY: If you're significantly overweight, don't be too aggressive about your training program. Your bones and ligaments need quite a bit of time in a training program (usually several years) before they're strengthened to the point where they can bounce back from supporting excess body weight in a workout. Don't expect your body to adapt overnight. Treat it gently at first. Take the long view, start out easy, and stick with it.
