FOR TODAY'S WORKOUT, RUN UP TO 2 MILES: We're often tempted to imitate the eating habits of our running heroes, in hopes of finding that special fuel. But in many cases runners excel in spite of their diets, not because of them. Just because an occasional great runner seems to do fine on fast food and ice cream doesn't mean you should follow suit. So avoid food fads -- even "good" ones.
