Day 002 - Maintenance sessions

30-45 minute run        Training via ActiveMail

FOR TODAY'S WORKOUT, RUN 30-45 MINUTES: You will do between two and five "maintenance" sessions each week, depending on whether you walk or cross-train on the option days. This is one of those days. This weekly session is designed to maintain and fine-tune the endurance you develop during your long run on Day 7 of each training week. Notice that the long run is the only workout for which we give a specific distance or mileage. The rest of the time we don't care how far you go; that's why we specify the workout in minutes, not miles. Listen to your body, adjust your pace accordingly, and don't worry about how far you go on maintenance days.
