HIT THE POOL FOR A SOLID 30 MINUTES OF SWIMMING: CHOOSE YOUR STROKE CAREFULLY. The main topic of debate for most women during the last Olympics was not who won what, but why weren't the men wearing Speedos anymore? World records, schmecords; we were promised little glass cases, and instead were served up something roughly akin to 1920's beach attire. Terribly disappointing. But I digress. As everyone knows, swimmers do possess the best bodies, and with reason: the water offers resistance while providing an amazing non-impact workout. And there's something very sensual about sliding through the warm water, parting waves with your hands, squeezing and kicking and frolicking and....ahem, where was I? Right. Swim for at least a half hour (longer if it's giving you a lot of pleasure.) Stroke of your choice (within reason, of course) Check out the selection of goggles, caps, and suits at the ActiveRoute store if you're not already equipped. Make sure to follow the standard 5 minute warm-up/cool down/stretch.
