Day 003 - Tip #1: Never Need Viagra

A regular exercise program can dramatically reduce the risk of impotence.        Training via ActiveMail

TIME FOR TIP # 1: Studies have proven a strong link between a sedentary lifestyle and impotence. Impotence affects about one quarter of American men by the age of 65, and there is no cure. It can be treated, most notably with Viagra: but isn't prevention far superior to popping a pill? A Boston University School of Medicine study showed that men who burned at least 200 calories a day through exercise were less likely than inactive men to become impotent. Exercise appears to ward off impotence for the same reasons it can prevent heart attacks: both conditions involve poor blood flow to the organ, and exercise helps keep blood vessels clear. In fact, impotence can be an early warning sign of coronary artery disease since the penis is more sensitive to slow-downs in blood flow than the heart is. Oddly enough, this study has persuaded more gym-phobes to strap on running shoes than any of the tomes of other research proving exercise helps you live longer. I love that.
