Day 031 - Climbing technique on the mountain bike

Mountain Bike: 1 hour, 10 minutes as 20 min. warmup followed by 5 x 90 sec.        Training via ActiveMail

MOUNTAIN BIKE: One hour, 10 minutes. After a 20-minute warm up in your middle to small chain ring, do 5 hills of at least one minute, 30 seconds each at PE 8-9 within your ride. Take as much recovery as needed between each. Play with body position and gearing on the hills to figure out what is the most efficient. Practice standing out of the saddle and using your upper body on the climbs. When you climb, sit back on your saddle a bit to gain the most power. If you get bogged down on a climb, downshift to generate more RPM's.
