Day 001 - Welcome to Your Exercise Program!

Congratulations on taking a very important step in improving your health and quality of life! This program will help get you started, providing you with a plan to keep you on track and motivated, allowing you to reach your fitness goals. You'll be doing aerobic (or cardio) exercise as well as strength and flexibility training. The program starts nice and easy and is designed to gradually improve your fitness level. Be patient the first few weeks and resist the temptation to do more than is planned. The workouts are written primarily for walking, jogging or running, but can be modified for any activity, such as cycling or swimming. Feel free to substitute your favorite. A key to success: this program is something you should be looking forward to doing, not something you have to do. So set aside a small part of each day and look at it as your opportunity to play.
