RIDE FOR ONE HOUR AT RPE 6-7: This training program includes back-to-back rides each week -- that is, rides on consecutive days without a rest day in between. Back-to-back rides prepare you for the demands of riding for the three to five days that most multi-day tours require. They'll toughen up your backside, raise your fitness level, and give you more endurance. The best time to schedule these consecutive rides is over a weekend when you have more time.
