TODAY, RUN 12-14 MILES: Strategy for race day: When you get into the tired zone, try to bluff your way through with positive thoughts. When these wear out, try distractions: passing the next runner, getting to the next telephone pole, or just maintaining the same rhythm for the next 5 steps. Be creative with your distractions.
