Day 003 - Warmups and cooldowns

WALK FOR 48 MINUTES WITH A DISTANCE GOAL OF 2.3 TO 2.4 MILES: Today you'll do the exact same workout you did two days ago. Start by warming up with an easy five- to six-minute walk and then stretching (for great information on stretching, see Sports Stretch by Michael J. Alter, available from Human Kinetics at http://www.humankinetics.com/Products/showproduct.hk?productid=PALT0823&associate=1 ). Now walk briskly for 48 minutes, swinging your arms, and try to cover 2.3 to 2.4 miles. When you've finished your walk, cool down by walking easily for five to six minutes. Try to follow these warmup and cooldown guidelines for all your workouts from now on.
