Day 007 - Aches and pains, wear and tear

BLOCK 10: WALK FOR 52 MINUTES WITH A DISTANCE GOAL OF 2.5 TO 2.6 MILES: Today is your second day in Block 10. Throughout this program, stay with the same block until you can reach BOTH the time and distance goals. For example, if you find that you can walk for 52 minutes but that you can't cover 2.5 miles in that time, keep repeating this workout until you can. Today we'll talk a bit about shoes in relation to pain. Many lower-body aches and pains are associated with your gait -- that is, with how you walk, run, or step, or the way your foot strikes the ground. Most of us rotate on our shoes a bit when our feet hit the ground. If you look at the heel of your shoe, you can often see that there's a lot more wear and tear on one side than the other. When the two sides of the heel are noticeably uneven, it's time for a new pair of shoes.
