Training Tip: Make the mind-body connection. Reducing stress and anxiety can be achieved through making time to calm your mind. Meditation or sitting quietly in nature will soothe the mind and relax your body. You can experiment with relaxation techniques during your workouts, too. While your out on your runs, quiet your mind by simply focusing on deep, diaphragmatic breathing. Think, ""low and slow"" or ""positive energy in, negative energy out."" It really works!
